French real estate is great to own but if you are buying with credit you need to be aware that the applications fees for your mortgage may have increased with the banking institution you are in contact with.
Here are some examples from Lefigaro.
Banque Populaire Île-de-France has increased the application fees from 500 to 750 euros
The minimum charges for LCL have increased by 50 euros, to 750 euros and can climb up to 1% of the amount borrowed.
At Societe Generale, you can pay up to 1000 euros.
If you opt for BNP Paribas, the bill may be very high: 1.1% of the amount borrowed, with a minimum of 500 euros
