Greening the sloping roofs of Paris maybe possible now.
The roofs of many houses are often unused. Three French architecture and real estate students at the Massachusetts institute of technology (MIT) in Boston have launched a start-up, Roofscapes.
Roofscapes has a goal to transform the sloping roofs of dense cities by capping them with vegetated platforms.
If you have a city with 50% green roofs then we could lower the temperature by 2 degrees in the city, according to the National Research Council Canada.
