French window shutter issues

Many properties in France have wooden shutters but more and more now have metal shutters that close down in front of the windows.

Unfortunately, with age the metal shutters whether the shutter is electric or manual, they don’t always close tight and when a buyer visits and tests the shutter, if faulty, it can leave an unsightly gap either at the bottom or part way down the shutter. If this is the case in your home make sure you have it fixed. You don’t want a buyer seeing it as a sign of faulty maintenance.
