Make sure that the French property you wish to buy in an area that appears calm and quiet is in fact calm and quiet all year round. This means you will need to visit your favorite French real estate area when it is sunny and not so sunny. Sometimes a peaceful quiet area in the winter is a busy place that you will not like in the summer.
Here we are referring to not only human but vehicle traffic. You may buy a home in a French village that has a quiet street in front during the winter but the same road maybe a main access to the beach or trails or shops in the summer. Do your due diligence.
