French real estate advertisement: What does villa de plein pied mean?
In a French real estate advertisement you may see the term ‘maison de plein pied’.
The French real estate term Maison de Plein Pied is referring to a house that is all on one level. That is you enter and you will find the main living area, kitchen, bedrooms, washroom etc all on one floor. You will not have an stairs going to a different level. Unless there is an area sous sol.
In some country’s a French maison de plein pied would be called a Bungalow or Rancher or single storey home or even a Irish Cottage
can be ‘plein pied’.
