A ‘géomètre-expert’ is essentially a land surveyor. He or she works hand in hand with other professionals to, for example, help advise you of the presence of easements attached to land and the potential to build. They can also help you establish the necessary plans to apply for a building permit and help you measure or confirm the size of land and property in France.
