What is an avenant in French real estate?

English speaking French real estate experts

French real estate transactions involve a number of complicated documents that can be quite confusing to anyone who does not read and understand French.

One French real estate document that is simple in purpose but has a name you make not understand is the document called an Avenant.

Simply an avenant is a document you will be asked to sign by your French real estate agent when you wish to change the sale price of your French real estate.

It is a document used to amendment a contract.
