French real estate: New double tax treaty between France and Belgium

French real estate and tax rules are subject to change and currently the applicable double tax treaty between France and Belgium that was concluded in 1964 and amended many times since and now their is a new version in process.

The 1964 Treaty remains applicable until the new Treaty has been ratified by the French and Belgian parliaments.

Assuming the ratification occurs between the French and Belgian parliments in 2022, the new Treaty will be fully applicable from 1 January 2023.

Doctor it can be really difficult to find an English speaking Doctor until now.

I have lived in France along time and just like banking and real estate I have always
preferred to have an English speaking Doctor which I could not find until today.

So I want to share the source with you.

If you go to Doctorlib a French website to set up a medical appointment you
can search for a Doctor in the area you reside and when you get the result
you can filter by language.

The concept of booking online is actually a real bonus since for years
I had to wait on hold on the phone for sometimes hours to make a medical appointment.

Greening the sloping roofs of Paris

Greening the sloping roofs of Paris maybe possible now.

The roofs of many houses are often unused. Three French architecture and real estate students at the Massachusetts institute of technology (MIT) in Boston have launched a start-up, Roofscapes.

Roofscapes has a goal to transform the sloping roofs of dense cities by capping them with vegetated platforms.

If you have a city with 50% green roofs then we could lower the temperature by 2 degrees in the city, according to the National Research Council Canada.
