Map of the Quartier des Fleurs in Nice, where is Quartier des Fleur NICE France?

We are continuing our series on neighborhood maps for the NICE French Riviera area as requested by one of our readers Jenn.

When you are investing in French real estate in NICE on the French Riviera you will most likely hear of a number of different neighborhoods being mentioned.

Today’s Focus Quartier Des Fleurs NICE

Located West of Boulevard Gambetta and bordered to the south by the Promenade des Anglais this is another prime NICE residential area that is in close proximity to the beach.

Quartier des Fleurs means the area of the flowers. The name is inspired (we believe) by the name of the street Avenue des Fleurs.

When you are investing in French real estate in NICE on the French Riviera you will most likely hear of a number of different neighborhoods being mentioned.

Today’s Focus Old Town / Vielle Ville Nice

Visited by millions of people Nice’s historic Old Town is full of restaurants, bars and interesting stores plus an abundance of charming French real estate.

Often called ‘Vieux Nice’ by the locals it is bordered on the south by the famous Promenade des Anglais.

Access is easy via the new tram as it exits Avenue Jean Medicine and turns and stops at the Old Town.

Characterised by the narrow winding streets the Old Town has two notable landmarks: the Palais de Justice and the Cours Saleya that springs to life on market days.

The Old Town offers residences of many sizes and to suit many tastes. Imagine living in an old village a few steps from the deep blue sea.

Mount Boron is sometimes called the Hollywood Hills of Nice because there are indeed Hollywood movie stars with residences in this area. Located high and above the East side of the Port in Nice and on the way to Villefranche Sur Mer properties on Mount Boron offer spectacular views from spectacular homes. Map of Port Residential area in Nice France

We are continuing our series on neighborhood maps for the NICE French Riviera area as requested by one of our readers Jenn.

When you are investing in French real estate in NICE on the French Riviera you will most likely hear of a number of different neighborhoods being mentioned.

Map Nice Port

Apartments on the Port offer beautiful views of the luxury yachts and high quality restaurants that are numerous in the area. The walkway around the Port has been recently redeveloped and offers a very nice walk. As you stroll you will get to see the boats leaving for Corsica.

It is worth noting Place Garibaldi to the North is being renovated with fresh paintings using The Art of Illusion: Trompe l’Oeil finishing on some of the buildings.

The Quai Rauba Capeu separates the Port area from the Promenade des Anglais to the West. One great landmark is the war memorial to the French who died in World War One and World War Two.

Located in Nice west of the ‘quartier des fleurs’ Nice centre is more specifically located east of Avenue Jean Medecin and North of the Old Town of Nice. In this area you will find many beautiful Nicoise buildings and access to the area is enhanced with the presence of the tram running down Avenue Jean Medicine.

This area is one of the hidden gems of the Nice neighbourhood recognized mostly by locals as a great place to live.
