French Property Sales Estimate Alpes Maritimes Apartments

French real estate market information is a bit of a mystery since the access to most sales data is not available in France at this time (October 2014), unlike in countries like Canada and the USA.

So as consumers we have to look at many sources. Here is one graph of the French property sales estimates for apartments in the Alpes Maritimes over the last two months.

Unfortunately, we need to say we consider this data to be unreliable as it is only a portion of the market.

The best bet for you is to speak with a local agent in your area and ask them to search out data on properties like yours that have just sold. This task is no easy one but a well connected agent can help you.

French Property Mortgage Rates Go Down Again

French property mortgage rate changes were trended to have a possible increase after August (we wrote about this here).

However, according to the latest article in Explorimmo, French property mortgage rates show a new decline in the month of September. The rates went down on all loans exceeding 15 years.

According to Maël Bernier of Meilleurtaux.com, the change is between 0.15 and 0.25 percent on mortgages that are for longer than 15 years.

Example, in September 2013, the monthly cost of an average loan of 200,000 euros set over 2020 years amounted to 1,139 euros. Today the same loan, according to the credit experts will only cost the buyer 1079 euros per month.

This is all good news for French property buyers, it looks like October is a good month to buy.

French Property Tax is, according to L’ovservatoire du FORUM en France, not equal in all cities as published in their report of 19th September 2014.

For example, as noted in the article in Explorimmo, in the town of Lille the property taxes this year are on average approximately 599 euros and reach approximately on average 1339 euros in Amiens.
