How much have French property prices changed in 2014?

According Pierre-Luc Vogel, president of the French Council of Notaries, in 2014, the price of pre-owned apartments fell 1.7% nationally. The price of houses fell 04%.

However, when you take into account inflation which is 0.5 percent in October 2014 the reduction of values is much higher.

With adjustment for inflation the pre-owned apartments have nationally experienced a 7 percent price reduction and the pre-owned houses have nationally experienced a 5 percent price drop.

Is this the First Chinese Investment in the Languedoc Wine Region?

A French wine estate located in Corbières (click for map) is most likely going to be the first wine property in the Langedoc region of the south of France to be sold to a Chinese buyer according to this article in the Wine Searcher.

The estate called Château La Bastide is 180 hectares and has approximately 60 hectares of vineyards.

The goal of the purchase is to export wines to the Chinese market which may in time increase the desire of the Chinese market to purchase increased amounts of French wine boosting the local French economy.
