French Company building Apartments on the Moon for Five Million Euros Each

A French company in partnership with Arian Espace wants to start building apartments on the moon in 2025.

To be called the ‘Moon Park and Spa’ the apartments will be for sale for five million euros and the flight to the moon is included in the purchase price! The cost of this flight alone is estimated to be one million euros.

To be honest we read this article on Explorimmo and we wondered if it is a joke but apparently it is true.

In French real estate what is an extranet copropriété?

The new French real estate housing law ‘loi Alur’ will bring into effect a request for the French property management companies (the syndics) to create a ‘extranet copropriété’ which is designed to give remote access at a distance to documents for the co property.

The ‘extranet copropriété’  will really assist the non-local owners of properties to have easy access to information that concerns their French property investment.

It will also hopefully help make it possible for owners to get new copies of documents they have misplaced or lost without requesting the management company to search for and mail or email the documents to the owner.

Whether this new concept will be suggested or required to be done by the French property management companies at this time is not clear.

Who is the new French minister of housing? 2014

The new French minister of housing replacing Cécile Duflot will be Sylvia Pinel.

According to Wikipedia, Sylvia Pinel was appointed on 16th of May 2012 as the Junior Minister for Crafts, Trade and Tourism.

Now as of April 2nd 2014 she has been appointed the new French minister of housing.

Madame Pinel is a member of the Radical Party of the Left called the National Assembly of France, where she represents the Tarn-et-Garonne department.

2014 Video and Photos Biot France Templiers Templars Medieval Festival

The French Village of Biot hosts this weekend the annual Festival of The Knights Templars which gives you the opportunity to explore the medieval arts.

Spend the weekend in the 13th Century to relive a time of great danger and challenge.

You will see medieval camps, battles between knights, tournaments, horse shows, medieval dance, medieval music, artisans of yesterday.

The village of Biot in the south of France is minutes from the Mediterranean Sea. Biot is in fact an ancient city according to details on the city of Biot website. There are traces of occupation in the village since Prehistoric times. Then the Celto-Ligurian tribes inhabited the region. These tribes had battles with villagers of the town of Antipolis (Antibes still a well known village by the sea on the French Riviera).

The Ligurians were defeated in 154 BC by the Romans who then settled on the present site of the old village. They left monuments and inscriptions still visible today.

Historically, not much is known about the time between Roman domination and the start of the Medieval age except in 1209 The Earl of Provence donated the Biot territory to the Knights Templars to gain salvation for his family’s souls. The ‘Place aux Arcades’ still present in the village today is from this time period. (Here is access to history of the Knights Templar)
