According to the Notaries of France, latest report the sale of previously owned French real estate has increased 12 percent year over year between March 2013 and March 2014.
There have been approximately 740 000 transactions in this period.
Of course, this is an overall average and the percentage will differ area to area, for example, Ile-de-France has only had a 9 percent increase.

When you read the term ‘Annexe’ in a French real estate advertisement this can mean several different things depending on the author of the advertisement.
Two examples:
On a large property there may be a small guest house and this may be referred to in an advertisement as an ‘annexe’.
Another example is that there may be a workshop separate from the house also referred to as an ‘annexe’.
Once again the meaning of some terminology needs to be verified with the agent over the phone before you schedule a visit.
