Is this the First Chinese Investment in the Languedoc Wine Region?

A French wine estate located in Corbières (click for map) is most likely going to be the first wine property in the Langedoc region of the south of France to be sold to a Chinese buyer according to this article in the Wine Searcher.

The estate called Château La Bastide is 180 hectares and has approximately 60 hectares of vineyards.

The goal of the purchase is to export wines to the Chinese market which may in time increase the desire of the Chinese market to purchase increased amounts of French wine boosting the local French economy.

What are the Goals of the New French Green Energy Bill?

The new French transition to green energy bill had its first adoption in French government. The purpose is to help France transition to a greener place to live.

Here are some of the goals / objectives of the new French green energy bill:

One
Forty percent less greenhouse gases emitted between 1990 and 2030

Two
A reduction of 50 percent in French energy consumption by the year 2050

Three
30 percent less usage of fossil fuels in France over the next 15 years

Four
Make one third of French energy consumption come from renewable energy in the next 15 years

Five
A reduction from 75 percent to 50 percent of French energy production make by Nuclear plants by 2025

Six
An increase in renewable energy used from 15 percent 40 percent by 2025.

To help attain these goals there will be opportunities for easier access to French residents to get financing to make their home more energy efficient.
