What does Offre de Pret mean in English?

French Village

When you are going to buy a French property with the use of financing from a French bank your goal is to receive an offer of financing from the French bank, an offer that hopefully is acceptable to you.

After you apply for the financing if the bank wants you as a client they will send you an ‘offre de pret’ which is an offer of financing to buy your French property.

The offer de prêt typically includes:

One

How long the offer is valid for

Two

What you must do if you wish to accept the offer and the restrictions on the acceptance

Three

The nature of the finance

Four

Period of reimbursement

Five

Date of first payment

Six

Insurance details

And more
