French Property Mortgage Rates Go Down Again

French property mortgage rate changes were trended to have a possible increase after August (we wrote about this here).

However, according to the latest article in Explorimmo, French property mortgage rates show a new decline in the month of September. The rates went down on all loans exceeding 15 years.

According to Maël Bernier of Meilleurtaux.com, the change is between 0.15 and 0.25 percent on mortgages that are for longer than 15 years.

Example, in September 2013, the monthly cost of an average loan of 200,000 euros set over 2020 years amounted to 1,139 euros. Today the same loan, according to the credit experts will only cost the buyer 1079 euros per month.

This is all good news for French property buyers, it looks like October is a good month to buy.
