French villages can be located in some of the most scenic areas. This village Monetier Les Bains is located in the Upper French Alps and close by there are ski resorts.
I recently visited the village while on a long distance hiking trip and the view of the mountains from the village is amazing, although it is hard to do it justice in this video.
The village itself is very cute and most of the building are very well cared for.
