How to find a technician to do your French property diagnostics

If you are a French property owner and you would like to find a technician to perform the diagnostics neccesary for you to do to sell your home, you can use this French government government website. Note the site is in French.

Of course, always do your own due dilligence before using a service provider.

French real estate buyers: remember to check these on a visit

French real estate buyers sometimes over look items to consider during a visit.

Here is a short list, ultimately it is best to get help from an English speaking French property inspector. If you need one contact us for assistance since they are not easy to find in France.

One

Check the plumbing

Two

Check the electrical

Three

Check the windows and doors

Four

Check  the appliances, if they will be included.

This list is only a beginning of what you need to review before making an offer.

French property buyers: check the water system

French property buyers can save time and energy by doing certain checks when they first visit a home. These checks do not eliminate the need for a professional inspection but they can at least help you better understand the general overall condition of the home.

One

Check under the sinks for the plumbing system to see if there are any leaks or evidence of poor quality repair work.

Two

Flush the toilets to see if they work and that the water stops once the tank is full.

Three

Check the water taps, all of them, to see if any are leaking, dripping, if they are it can indicate poor maintenance of the home.

Four

Check all the doors and windows open and close correctly. Check the shutters as well.

Not checking at the city hall to see if all the work in the property was done with official permits
