French Property Hazards Disaster Grab and Go Kit 24 Items You Need

If you buy a French property and there is an emergency it important to be prepared. We have noticed that in general in 2013 in France there is not a lot of programs about emergency preparedness and if you don’t speak French and you are here on vacation or living here we recommend you prepare yourself.

Below is a helpful reminder of items you need to keep in a easy to carry bag close by the door of your French Villa or apartment.

Batteries – for a flash light and a radio – store these outside of the devices and make a note of the news / emergency radio channel in your area and leave it with the radio

Emergency Candles and matches – store in a dry can – use only waterproof matches

Cash – a small amounts so it easy to use

Dust Mask – to protect your breathing

*

Five

Spare eyes glasses and medication and prescriptions, if needed

Emergency First Aid Kit – if you buy a ready made kit check all you need is present and make sure there are latex or latex like gloves inside in case you need to use them during a disaster.
